I don't think it lets you modulate the waveform position like a wavetable synth either - though in both cases there should be a couple of multsamples that have a PWM or wavetable sweep in the sound. What it won't do is allow you to modulate the pulse width, since that's baked into the samples. There should be a bunch of analogue-sounding waveforms, e.g. It's based on the Triton, so the underlying engine is PCM waveforms with a digital filter. Sidenote: It's worth less than the Genesys, in fact, if I accept, I'll ask for the X50+money to match the value, but maybe it can be worth more in my hands. Would the X50 actually be good in this case? Any specific issues it can have to the hardware? Sequencer features or even just drum sequencing is the absolute maximum I want to get on such a device. In short I want beep boop machine (analog, wavetable digital, whatever) where I can turn knobs to change beep boop and also make my own sounds, bonus points if there's a decent sampler, and I want absolutely NO advanced workstation features. The only interesting option was the X50, which looks more straight to the point compared to all these other keyboards, but I also find little info about it, if it's fun, if you can actually make new sounds without using what's available as a base. None of them really clicked in my head, all of them being mostly advanced performance/arranger/workstation devices, some of them having not that much info on maintenance and on what you can do with them. That's why I decided to sell it locally (not here, not a sales post), and a person asked if I want to trade it with one of his following devices: Roland Discover 5, Korg pa1X Pro élite, Korg Trinity ProX or a Korg X50. You can edit sounds and do things, but there are so many menus and buttons that it's overly complicated and I can't really use it as a synth. What I found out in these months is that it requires way too much maintenance, with a lack of information on what to check and how to properly do it (even just reinstalling the os is hidden deep in members who would rather keep their knowledge to make you pay them to do it).The other problem is that it has way too much stuff, being an arranger/workstation, which makes me barely ever use it and it mostly sleeps in my closet (well protected, don't worry) getting checked from time to time. Many months ago I posted about obtaining a GEM Genesys audio workstation. Hey everyone, probably my only second post here.
